RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Air Force has successfully conducted Exercise Golden Eagle in the Southern Air Command’s area of responsibility, showcasing its operational readiness and combat capabilities, according to the military’s media wing.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations said the exercise involved the coordinated employment of multiple air power elements in a simulated combat environment.
The drill was aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness through the integration of artificial intelligence–enabled and net-centric training concepts. Fighter aircraft participating in the exercise demonstrated “first-shoot, first-kill” capabilities using beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles, the statement said.
ISPR added that the aircraft were also equipped with extended-range air-to-ground standoff weapons and precision targeting systems. The exercise scenario included support from air-to-air refuellers and airborne early warning and control systems, enabling sustained and coordinated operations.
According to the military, the exercise validated the Pakistan Air Force’s ability to conduct rapid, high-tempo operations under a unified command and control framework, reflecting preparedness for modern aerial warfare.
The successful completion of Exercise Golden Eagle underscores the air force’s continued focus on maintaining combat readiness and operational agility, ISPR said.
