Bangladeshi students arrive in Pakistan under Allama Iqbal Scholarship program

ISLAMABAD: The first batch of Bangladeshi students awarded Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships has arrived in Pakistan to begin higher studies at selected universities, officials said.

The students are part of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, an initiative aimed at expanding academic collaboration and strengthening educational exchanges between the two countries.

Representatives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and host universities received the students upon arrival at the airport and facilitated their transfer to respective campuses.

According to officials, the program is designed to promote cooperation in education, research and academic training. Authorities said preparations are underway for the selection of the next group of scholarship recipients.

The scholarship covers multiple academic disciplines and enables Bangladeshi students to enroll in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at participating Pakistani institutions.
