Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan for eight-sector deals

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is expected to visit Pakistan in the near future, Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia said on Tuesday, adding that multiple agreements are being prepared across key economic sectors.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq told a briefing at the Pakistani Embassy in Riyadh that Islamabad and Riyadh are expanding cooperation in defense and several commercial areas.

He said both countries are finalising agreements covering eight sectors, including information technology, agriculture and textiles.

The ambassador said bilateral defense cooperation has strengthened overall ties, with positive spillover effects on Pakistan’s economy.

Farooq added that Pakistani exports to Saudi Arabia have reached record levels, while about 500,000 Pakistani workers arrived in the kingdom during 2025 alone. He said more than three million Pakistanis are currently employed in Saudi Arabia.

Officials said the upcoming visit is expected to focus on investment, trade expansion and workforce collaboration, as both sides seek to deepen long-term economic engagement.

No official date for the visit has yet been announced.
