Pakistan says India has no standing on Pakistan-Bangladesh defence cooperation

Pakistan has rejected India’s comments regarding defence cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh, stating that New Delhi has no locus standi on bilateral arrangements between two sovereign nations.

Foreign Office sources said Pakistan-Bangladesh defence engagement, including discussions linked to the JF-17 fighter aircraft, is a matter strictly between Islamabad and Dhaka. Any external commentary, the sources added, is neither warranted nor relevant.

Officials emphasized that Pakistan maintains transparent and lawful defence relations with friendly countries, guided by mutual interests and international norms. The remarks came after Indian officials publicly commented on potential defence collaboration between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Pakistan reiterated that regional stability is best served through mutual respect, non-interference, and adherence to international diplomatic principles.
