Punjab launches digital examination reforms across boards, following Federal Board model

The Punjab government has introduced wide-ranging digital examination reforms across provincial education boards, marking a significant step toward modernising assessment systems in Pakistan’s education sector.

Under the new reforms, examination processes are being digitised to enhance transparency, reduce human error, and curb malpractice. The initiative includes improved digital monitoring, streamlined result compilation, and stronger data integrity measures, bringing provincial boards closer to the standards followed by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

Education officials say the reforms are designed to ensure fair evaluation, faster result processing, and increased public confidence in the examination system. By adopting technology-driven solutions, Punjab aims to set a benchmark that could later be replicated across other provinces in Pakistan.

Experts view the move as part of a broader national effort to modernise education governance, strengthen accountability, and align Pakistan’s examination framework with international best practices.
