LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the players’ auction for HBL Pakistan Super League Season 11 will take place on February 11, with the highest base price fixed at Rs42 million for the top category.
The decision was finalised during an auction workshop held at Gaddafi Stadium, attended by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, franchise representatives, PSL management officials and national players.
PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer briefed participants on auction procedures, squad composition rules and player retention policies. Officials said franchises will be allowed squads of 16 to 20 players, including a maximum of five to seven overseas cricketers.
Each playing XI must feature at least three and no more than four foreign players. Franchises are also required to include two uncapped Under-23 players in their squads, with one mandated in the playing XI.
The PCB outlined multiple base price tiers, including Rs22 million, Rs11 million and Rs6 million. Auction bids will be conducted in Pakistani rupees, with incremental increases ranging from Rs250,000 to Rs1.5 million depending on price slabs.
Players selected or retained in PSL 11 will sign two-year contracts with franchises, while a grand auction is scheduled after PSL 12.
Officials said the framework aims to ensure competitive balance, youth development and long-term squad stability across all teams.
