Pakistan Concludes 60-Hour Multinational Army Exercise With 19 Countries

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has concluded a 60-hour multinational military exercise hosted by the Pakistan Army, with participation from 19 countries, the military’s media wing said.

The exercise, known as the International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Competition, was held from February 5 to 9 in the semi-mountainous terrain near Kharian, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.

ISPR said the event is designed to strengthen professional military skills through the exchange of tactical experience, innovative ideas and best practices among participating teams under demanding field conditions.

Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir attended the closing ceremony and presented awards to participating contingents, the statement said.

Participating countries included Saudi Arabia, the United States, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar and several others. Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand attended as observers, while 16 teams from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy also took part, with observers from the Pakistan Air Force.

ISPR said the competition has developed into a regular multinational platform aimed at promoting interoperability, mutual understanding and military-to-military cooperation among participating nations.

Pakistan regularly hosts joint air, land and maritime exercises with regional partners and traditional allies as part of efforts to enhance collective readiness and address evolving security challenges.
