Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has launched an advanced mobile Command and Control unit in Lahore, Punjab, marking a significant step toward enhancing technology-driven security operations and real-time situational awareness.
The mobile unit is designed to support live surveillance feeds, secure communications and on-ground operational coordination, enabling command teams to monitor evolving situations and make swift, informed decisions during sensitive and high-risk missions.
Equipped with encrypted communication systems and integrated digital dashboards, the unit allows seamless coordination between field personnel and central command centres. Its mobile design enables authorities to establish a fully functional command hub close to operational zones, significantly improving response time.
CTD officials said the rollout reflects a broader push to modernise law-enforcement capabilities through advanced technology, particularly in counter-terrorism and emergency response
operations across Punjab.
