The Jinnah Medical Complex is under development in Islamabad’s H-16 sector, spread over nearly 600 kanal of land, and is planned as a 1,000-bed tertiary care hospital integrating medical treatment, education, and research facilities. The project is being overseen by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has directed relevant authorities to ensure timely execution and high construction standards as part of broader efforts to upgrade Pakistan’s public healthcare infrastructure.
According to officially approved documents, the project carries an estimated cost of around Rs212 billion. Once operational, the complex is expected to significantly enhance healthcare capacity in Islamabad, reduce pressure on existing public hospitals, and provide advanced medical services along with training and research facilities. Officials state that the project will be completed in phases, with initial facilities expected to become operational by 2027, while full completion will follow in subsequent stages as construction milestones are achieved.
