Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the expansion of its UK operations with the planned resumption of London flights from March. The move signals renewed momentum in the national carrier’s international revival strategy and a gradual rebuilding of its presence in key global aviation markets.
According to airline officials, the UK expansion includes multiple weekly services to London, aimed at serving the strong passenger demand from the Pakistani diaspora and business travelers. The development follows recent regulatory clearances and operational improvements undertaken by the airline.
Industry observers say the return to London operations reflects growing confidence in PIA’s restructuring efforts, as the airline works to restore suspended routes and enhance service reliability. UK routes have historically been among PIA’s most commercially significant international sectors.
Officials added that the resumption of London flights is part of a broader roadmap to strengthen long-haul operations, improve fleet utilization, and reconnect Pakistan with major global hubs.
