NADRA brings mobile registration services to overseas Pakistanis in the UK

ISLAMABAD: National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has rolled out a mobile registration initiative in the United Kingdom to facilitate overseas Pakistanis with identity-related services closer to their places of residence.

According to NADRA, a mobile registration team conducted operations on January 24 in two UK locations, Burton upon Trent in the Birmingham region and Doncaster in the Bradford region, allowing applicants to access services without travelling to distant NADRA centres.

During the drive, overseas Pakistanis were able to apply for new, renewed, modified or reprinted National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP and SNICOP), as well as cancellation of NICOPs, Family Registration Certificates (FRC), National Registration Certificates (NRC) and duplicate clearance services.

In Burton upon Trent, services were offered at Jamia Hanfia Ghosia Mosque on Princess Street, while in Doncaster, the mobile team operated from Thoresby Avenue. NADRA said both locations were selected to ensure maximum accessibility for the Pakistani community.

The authority said the initiative is part of its broader strategy to expand outreach services for overseas Pakistanis by delivering essential documentation facilities at convenient community venues.

Separately, NADRA noted that more than 2,000 e-Sahulat franchise centres across Pakistan are currently providing services such as CNIC renewal and replacement, reducing the need for citizens to visit registration centres.

NADRA operates under Pakistan’s Interior Division and manages the country’s national civil registration database.
