ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has extended the restriction on the use of its airspace by India-registered, operated or leased aircraft, including military flights, until March 23, according to an official aviation notification.
The directive applies to all aircraft owned, operated or leased by Indian entities and will remain in effect across Pakistani airspace during the specified period.
Officials said the decision was taken as part of continuing aviation and security-related measures. The restriction covers passenger, cargo and military operations associated with Indian operators.
Pakistan’s aviation authorities periodically review airspace permissions in line with regional developments and operational considerations. The latest extension maintains the existing limitations without additional changes to overflight procedures for other international carriers.
No immediate response was issued by Indian authorities following the notification.
