Israeli media speculates on “Muslim NATO” concept involving Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Israeli media outlets have published commentary speculating about a possible security alignment involving Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, informally described as a “Muslim NATO,” according to recent reports.

The reports suggest that growing defense coordination, military exercises and diplomatic engagement among several Muslim-majority countries have prompted discussion in Israeli media about a potential strategic bloc. The coverage, however, does not cite any formal proposal, agreement or joint declaration by the governments concerned.

Officials in Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia have not announced the formation of any new military alliance. No official statements from defense or foreign ministries of the three countries have confirmed the existence of such a framework.

Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia maintain bilateral defense cooperation arrangements, including joint military exercises, training programs and defense industry collaboration, which officials from these countries have previously described as routine and bilateral in nature.

Analysts note that media commentary does not equate to policy decisions and caution against interpreting speculation as an official shift in regional security architecture. Diplomatic engagements among Muslim-majority countries continue through established multilateral and bilateral channels.

There has been no indication that any new alliance structure is under discussion at a governmental level.
