Sky47 launches Pakistan’s largest cloud and AI infrastructure platform

ISLAMABAD: Sky47 on Thursday announced the launch of Pakistan’s largest cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure platform, marking a major step in strengthening the country’s digital capabilities.

The platform was inaugurated on January 15, 2026, by Fauji Foundation Chairman retired Lt Gen Anwar Ali Hyder, according to a statement issued by the company.

Sky47 said the new cloud and AI facility has been built to provide secure, scalable and locally hosted digital infrastructure, enabling businesses, government organizations and technology innovators to operate critical workloads within Pakistan while meeting international standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hyder highlighted the importance of digital infrastructure in national development and emphasized building resilient platforms to support long-term economic and technological growth.

The company said its infrastructure includes high-density cloud environments and AI-ready computing systems, positioning Sky47 as Pakistan’s largest cloud and AI farm. The platform is designed to support sectors including finance, telecommunications, healthcare, government services and emerging AI applications.

Sky47 Chief Executive Officer Hassan Abbas said the initiative addresses Pakistan’s growing need for enterprise-grade cloud and AI services hosted inside the country.

“Our goal is to provide a foundational layer for Pakistan’s digital economy, ensuring data sovereignty, operational resilience and scalability for future growth,” Abbas said.

The launch event also featured technical briefings and live demonstrations developed with international technology partners, showcasing the platform’s capability to handle high-performance and high-availability workloads.

Sky47 said the project reflects its broader strategy to support Pakistan’s digital transformation by offering world-class data center, cloud and AI infrastructure while keeping critical data within national borders.
