US–Pakistan trade projected to exceed $8bn in 2025: US Embassy

ISLAMABAD: Trade between Pakistan and the United States is projected to cross $8 billion in 2025, the US Embassy said, citing growing commercial engagement and expanding supply-chain links between the two countries.

The projection was shared during a visit to Sialkot, where US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker met Pakistani exporters and business leaders. The visit focused on trade, investment and private-sector cooperation.

The envoy said the United States remains Pakistan’s largest export destination and a major source of foreign investment, noting that expanding bilateral trade reflects confidence in Pakistan’s manufacturing base and export capacity.

According to the embassy, discussions also covered supply-chain resilience, market access and opportunities for US companies to deepen investment in Pakistan’s industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Officials said Pakistan is seeking to strengthen economic diplomacy with Washington as part of broader efforts to boost exports, attract foreign investment and support economic stabilization under reform programs.

During the visit, Baker toured export-oriented firms including Forward Sports, First American Corporation and CA Sports, highlighting Pakistan’s role in global supply chains.

She also visited Sialkot International Airport and met the management of AirSial, underscoring the importance of logistics and privately led infrastructure in supporting export growth.

Both sides indicated that continued engagement would focus on trade facilitation, investment frameworks and long-term economic cooperation.
